Music Recommendation #4

So, I’ve got a bad case of writer’s block, so I’m going to recommend They Might Be Giants!

They Might Be Giants, or TMBG as they are known by many, are an eclectic band orignially from Lincoln, Massachusetts but that are now based in Brooklyn. The main two members are John Flansburgh, the guitarist, and John Linnell, on lead vocals, saxophone, keyboard, and accordion. The drummers and bassists change over time.

They do a concert every month in New York but I can’t go because I’m under 18. However, they are doing one at a college near me in January, which I can go to, so hopefully I’ll get there.

Recommendations!

Birdhouse in your Soul: CANON!!!

Ana Ng: I write “i don’t want the world, I jsut want your half” on bridges. And subway platforms. And bus windows.

Whistling in the Dark: I started impromptu tap-dancing to this song during a reu. And I can’t tap dance.

The End of the Tour: I can’t listen to this much until I nomore out of CTY, and then I probably won’t be able to for a while without getting PCTYD. But it’s still a great song.
