So, I was watching Law and Order online when I was supposed to be doing homework. The usual chestnut. Season 10, Episode 2. It’s called Confessions.

Late in the episode, a tape of someone dying by being stabbed, as recorded by a 911 call in the episode, is played. i hadn’t been paying attention to most of the episode, but I quickly clicked over when I heard that tape. I remember that the person being stabbed was a pedophile, or was going to become one if he didn’t get help (that’s one third of SVU episodes)

It wasn’t the character. What made me click over was the voice. The tape being played was mostly screaming, but then there was a “No, no! Please stop” cried there. And there was something familiar in the tone and pitch of the voice, the slightly slurred words…

I teared up, I admit it. I know it wasn’t you-you’re not an actor, and I wouldn’t want you to be anything like the character-but for a moment, I heard you on that tape, and almost cried.

The last song of 2008 on the Music Wing piano has been played. It was Love Reign O’er Me on the good piano in the band room, and “Luna,” (the song, not me) per L.A.’s suggestion, on the bad piano in the tech lab. (Which is getting REPLACED!)

To my little brother the monkey: WHY CANNOT YOU LEAVE ME TO EAT MY CHINESE FOOD IN PEACE? But seeing you get tackled by a guy who’s about a foot and a half taller  and a hundred pounds heavier than you was VERY funny! But then, he tattled to my dad and I got talked-to for “goading my brother.” Not my fault!

Snow day!!!

I’m half thinking that a Monday snow day would be nice too, considering the prospects for four more inches on Sunday. But then again, I miss people from school (L.A., L.S., J.B., C.R, J.Z., the usual crowd)

IT’S SNOWING!!!! REALLY SNOWING!!!

Yeah, it’s going to start raining after I go to sleep. But still! SNOW!! I have spun in it (before the choir concert, more on that later), LunaMom has started complaining about the snow, LunaDad has started complaining about the shoveling to be done, and the first snowball of the year has been thrown! (A direct hit to L.A. after the choir concert.)

O Sing Joyfully: Went well.

If Ye Love Me: Went well except for me forgetting that there are three “keep my commandments”es in the first cycle, so I sang “keep” instead of “if,” a full third above the right note. But neither LunaMom, LunaDad, J.Za. or L.A. noticed it from the audience, so hopefully the knowledge of my screwup is not too well known.

Hebrew Love Songs: Temuna was good except for me going sharp on the high A (still not over a cold, blah), Kala kalla went the best it ever did, as did Larov (two high As perfect!). During Eyze Sheleg I did the random “bongs” to the rhythm of Nightswimming, and Rakut went great.

Muie Rendera: I was scared for this one because in rehearsals we were ending one half step lower than when we started, and it happened during concert too. C.M. asked me “how many people in the audience do you think actually noticed,” and I said “anyone who knows the slightest bit about music.” Hopefully that’ll get fixed before MSU and Roxbury festivals.

Art Thou Troubled went fine, and so did We Need A Word, but M.N. started improving-leave the solo for the soloist! The audience can hear you!

Also a highlight was Seasons of Love, as sang by the Concert Chorale-or, rather, K.P. (Twilight-hating Concert Chorale member) and her reaction. Her face when M.N. stated that “the Concert Chorale begged to do this song” was a reminder that there are some sane (or wonderfully insane) freshman girls out there.

Hope the field trip tomorrow doesn’t get cancelled because of the weather, or I’m screwed. I’m missing a math quiz which I’m not ready for to go on the trip.

So, I have since migrated from lexulous to isc.ro, which is official and doesn’t have a lot of idiots on it. My rating there is 330, which I got after a lot ofou  bad games. (It used to be 450-ish.) However, it just got pulled up when I laid down some ownage on someone with a bingo (for those of you who don’t know, a bingo is when you use all the tiles in your rack. My bingo was FAVORITe, with the E being in the word VETO. What’s more, it was in on a triple word score, so I got myself a nice 90 points.

I won the game 409-246. As Borat would say, great success!

PS: My Scrooge syndrome has expired with the first snow. I feel very holiday-y, and very hopeful of recieving a DSLR.

…for a burnt tongue to heal?

I burnt my tongue when I took a swig of too-hot morning tea (No tea for Luna in the morning=bad. I carry around on Monday. It’s now Thursday, and it’s still not healed. And it HURTS when I eat fruits, which is bad because I’m a pomegranate addict.
